WHY I BUILT REBEL
I have my own transformation story, and it’s a huge part of why Rebel exists today.
I come from a family with a history of obesity, so genetics hasn’t always been in my favor. I used to weigh over 200 lbs, lost more than 50 lbs, and have kept it off for over a decade! But I wasn’t always someone who loved working out or knew what I was doing in the gym!
I used to walk in, run a mile on the treadmill just to get it over with, then go use the same few machines because they were the only ones I knew how to use. Eventually I’d get bored, stop going, start back up again…then fall off again. My nutrition was the same way. On, off, on, off. I could never stay consistent! Then I joined a gym after college that introduced me to strength training, group fitness, the power of having an actual coach, and that changed EVERYTHING for me!
For the first time, I actually looked forward to going to the gym. I fell in love with getting stronger. It actually made me learn how to accept my body more because I saw what I was capable of! I had coaches teaching me what to do, I met some of my best friends in the classes, and I learned how to eat in a way that supported my goals instead of constantly “dieting.”
Fitness finally became part of my LIFE instead of something I was always starting over. And 15 years later, I’m still at it!
My own transformation journey shaped so much of what I wanted Rebel to be.
I wanted to create a gym where you don’t have to know what you’re doing before you walk through our doors. That’s our job! You just have to be willing to show up and let us coach you.
I wanted a place where people could learn how to strength train, get stronger, build confidence, and create habits they can actually sustain!
But just as importantly, I wanted people to WANT to be here!
I believe your gym should feel like your second home. A place where people know your name. Where you can laugh, be yourself, make friends, work hard, and know that the people around you are rooting for you.
That’s why I care SO much about the culture we’ve built here. It’s why I continue to invest in our coaches. It’s why we host so many events and bring our community together outside of workouts.
Because I know firsthand that when you enjoy where you’re at, feel supported, and have people helping you along the way, it becomes so much easier to stay consistent!
And consistency is where the jackpot happens.
Today, I’ve helped hundreds of others transform their own health and become the strongest and most confident they ever been! I’ve watched members become best friends in our gym and build a sisterhood.
This gym is my blood, sweat, tears, and passion that I built it from the ground up! I was a laid-off teacher who took a leap of faith and went ALL IN on this vision and here we are, 10 years later!
Thank YOU to all who have supported Rebel thus far!
If you’ve struggled with starting and stopping, feel intimidated by the gym, or just haven’t found a place that feels like YOU yet…come give Rebel a try!
You don’t have to be “in shape” to belong here.
You don’t have to have any strength training experience to start!
Just walk through the door!
We’ll meet you where you’re at.
BE A REBEL!
